Description:
Utilities have clearly communicated the need for scalable, reliable, secure, cost-effective, and standards-based private IoT networks that can meet a range of electric, gas, water and wastewater use cases. Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) leverages the benefits of established cellular technology allowing the network to be tuned and operated to each utility’s specifications at a much lower cost compared to broadband LTE or proprietary RF networks. Whether for municipal or private water, wastewater, gas, or electric use cases, NB-IoT is rapidly becoming the global standard of choice for private IoT networks.

In this webinar, the panelists will showcase utility use-cases, business drivers, and benefits of private NB-IoT networks. The panel will also address the long-term view of NB-IoT, update on the module and end point ecosystem, technical considerations for RF network architecture, channel management, and network slicing. Panelists will discuss the availability of suitable narrowband spectrum for private NB-IoT networks.

Join us to take a real-world look at the benefits of standards-based NB-IoT technologies and their applicability to current and emerging utility needs.
