With the energy industry moving towards decentralization and disruptors such as IoT enabled devices, prosumers, vehicle-to-grid, and disasters driving an explosion of data and information at the grid edge, utilities must prioritize its collection, analysis and interpretation. By placing the grid edge at the forefront of their priorities, utilities gain valuable insight into market needs, enabling them to stay innovative, agile, and able to evolve along with the ever-changing energy landscape to safely accelerate towards a more sustainable, resilient, and reliable future grid.
 
This session addresses the role and benefits of edge intelligence in the electric power industry, the implications of distributed intelligence versus centralized intelligence, and the vital role of Telecom in grid edge intelligence in the private and public network space.
