UTC has teamed with DAMM Cellular Systems to provide an eight-part webinar series that addresses several topics related land mobile radio system design. Topics include traffic management theory, outdoor and indoor propagation, IP traffic concepts and TETRA radio air interface technology. The sessions are led by an engineer with over twenty years of experience in TETRA system solutions design. Professional development hour (PDH) certificates will be available for sessions attended.
 
The webinar covers the following four concepts in IP networking: what is the difference between switching and routing; how does IP multicast addressing work; what is the difference between TCP and UDP; and principles of congestion avoidance. Aim is to understand various concepts used in IP networking and having a clear view which are the pros and cons of each method and which are typical use cases.
