UTC has teamed with DAMM Cellular Systems to provide an eight-part webinar series that addresses several topics related land mobile radio system design. Topics include traffic management theory, outdoor and indoor propagation, IP traffic concepts and TETRA radio air interface technology.  The sessions are led by an engineer with over twenty years of experience in TETRA system solutions design. Professional development hour (PDH) certificates will be available for sessions attended.

The webinar gives a practical approach to modelling telecommunication traffic with focus on group communication. The session explains properties of the exponential distribution which is basis for Erlang formulas. Both, blocking and queuing systems will be considered in the calculation examples. Aim of the webinar is to have a clear understanding of the basics of telecommunication traffic theory and be able to dimension simple networks for both individual and group communication.
