Description:Utility poles are the backbone of the nations, electric grid, and telecommunications networks. Increased government funding for broadband and smart grid networks coupled with regulations intended to accelerate deployment of broadband services will increase activities around utility poles. The session will identify many of the challenges faced by pole owners, and broadband providers throughout the pole attachment process and provide some practical solutions to collect and process pole attachment data efficiently and accurately to ensure the safe and reliable attachment of broadband lines and equipment to utility poles.
