Description:

The UTC Public Policy Summit will bring together over one hundred representatives from utilities and their technology partners, consultants and law firms from around the country to discuss the latest federal policy issues affecting their information and communications technology (“ICT”) networks, including wireless radiofrequency spectrum access, deployment of fiber optic and other communications infrastructure networks, protection of utility critical infrastructure against cyber and physical threats, and promotion of broadband access by utilities offering retail services or deploying middle mile communications networks and providing access to pole attachments by third-party communications service providers in unserved and underserved areas.  The Summit will culminate in discussions with policymakers to address these issues and develop public policy solutions together.

The UTC Public Policy Summit is being hosted by Exelon Corporation at its Pepco Office in downtown Washington, DC.  Throughout the UTC Public Policy Summit we will have networking opportunities, including a reception at the Riggs Hotel on the last day of the event, and where we have also reserved a room block for UTC members who will be traveling from out of town to attend the Summit.

While the Edison Place Conference Room at Pepco’s office is big and eligibility to attend is restricted to UTC members, seating will be limited.  So, we encourage UTC members to register for the Summit by clicking here at their earliest convenience to ensure they will be able to attend.

We also encourage UTC members to reserve their hotel rooms at the Riggs Hotel at the discounted rate of $199 per night by contacting UTC at support@utc.org

We look forward to seeing you at the UTC Public Policy Summit in Washington, DC on July 21-22nd and if you have any questions or need help registering or reserving a room at the hotel, please contact Kelly Moran at Kelly.moran@utc.org or Brett Kilbourne at brett.kilbourne@utc.org.
